Hi,

I'm a new user of DTK and Linux OS. I followed the installation instructions but get the following error when I try to open dtk in the commandline:

dtk: error while loading shared libraries: libtiff.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Also, how can I add trackvis and dtk to my bash so that it starts whenever I type trackvis and dtk in the terminal rather than having to go to the folder where I installed it?

Many thanks!

Merina

Oh, I really don't know… linux distribution is a headache. There are so many variations and versions and this and that. For non-expect linux user like me I really can't provide any firm solution:-(. The trackvis/dtk distribution was built in CentOS. My guess is that you need to install the missing tiff libs. It could be an older version. Is your PC 64-bit? If so have you tried dtk_64? That one was built on a newer system there might be chance it would work. Sorry…

As to your second question, you just need to add trackvis/dtk location to your path. As to how, it depends on the type of shell you are using. Google should help.

Best,
