Hello,

 

As suggested in the last post, i tried to change the value of the angle threshold (in the diffusion toolkit).

I wanted to try with 90 (because 35 and 70 didn't seem to be enough.

 

Except the run time which is very very long (1h30!) it was impossible to go further : 

 

- The file ".trk" was correctly created (size : 6 Go!!) but it was impossible to import it on TrackVis : After a few minutes (without to see the 'load window') : 

Message : 

Runtime error!

Program : C:ProgramFilesTrackVisTrackVis.exe

This application has requested the RunTime to terminate it in an unusual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information.

 

Do you know what is the problem?

Oh no, 90? That will keep the tracking program going forever! The biggest possible turn for tracking is 90 degrees. Even 70 is pretty extreme as an angle threshold. As I said before, not every known fiber bundle/connection can be revealed in DTI tractography.

The run time error was likely due to running out of memroy.

The problem is that I was not in DTI but in q-ball…

Is it normal?!

Yes, even in q-ball/dsi tractography, you can't expect to see every known structures/connections.
